Chocolate Swirl Banana Bread


  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Chocolate chips (as desired)
  • Gusto's Chocolate Syrup


  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Mash Bananas:
    • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
  3. Add Sugars and Mix:
    • Add the powdered sugar, brown sugar, and salt to the mashed bananas. Mix well.
  4. Combine Wet Ingredients:
    • Stir in the melted butter and milk into the banana-sugar mixture. Mix until smooth.
  5. Add Dry Ingredients:
    • Sift in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon powder into the wet mixture. Mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in Chocolate Chips:
    • Gently fold in the chocolate chips into the banana bread batter. You can add as many as you like.
  7. Pour into Pan:
    • Grease and flour a loaf pan. Pour the banana bread batter into the pan.

    • Use a toothpick to gently swirl the syrup into the batter to create a marbled effect.
  9. Bake:

  10. Cool and Serve:
    • Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
