Teriyaki Tofu and Scallion Fried Rice using Gusto’s Ready-to-Use Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients:

  1. Prepare Tofu: Cut the tofu into cubes and press them between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
    • Pan-fry Tofu: In a non-stick pan, heat a bit of oil over medium-high heat. Add tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides.
      • Add Sauce: Pour Gusto Teriyaki Sauce over the tofu and let it simmer, allowing the sauce to coat the tofu cubes thoroughly.
        • Garnish: Sprinkle white sesame seeds over the tofu and cook for an additional minute.

          Scallion Fried Rice: 

          Ingredients:

          • Finely Chopped Scallions
          • Cold Rice (preferably day-old)
          • Garlic, minced
          • White Onion, diced
          • Black Sesame Seeds
          • Oil for cooking

          Instructions:

          1. Prepare Ingredients:  Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add minced garlic and diced white onion, and sauté until fragrant.
            • Add Rice: Increase heat to medium-high, add cold rice to the pan, breaking up any clumps.
              • Stir-fry:  Stir-fry the rice for a few minutes until it starts to crisp slightly.
                • Add Scallions: Toss in the finely chopped scallions and continue to stir-fry for a couple of minutes until they wilt.
                  • Season: Drizzle some additional Gusto Teriyaki Sauce over the fried rice for added flavor (optional).
                    • Finish: Sprinkle black sesame seeds over the fried rice, mix well, and cook for another minute before removing from the heat.

                      Serve the Teriyaki Tofu alongside the Scallion Fried Rice for a delicious meal! Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences. Enjoy!
